PM Modi to Address IT Professionals at Town Hall in Delhi

The event will be held on 24 October in Delhi’s town hall.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, 24 October, will address a gathering of IT professionals at the town hall in Delhi. He also will reportedly launch the ‘Self4Society’ initiative.

IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad earlier in October held an extensive consultation with IT honchos and sought the industry's active involvement in social initiatives, ahead of the event.

"On October 24, the PM will hold a town hall event in Delhi, where there will be thousands of IT professionals...he will also speak to CEOs and IT professionals in over a dozen locations to enthuse and inspire them to make India's digital story, one of social inclusion," Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

PM will launch a digital platform to share best practices, convergence of CSR initiatives and engagement of volunteers from IT companies who are keen on contributing for development works and act as agents of change. pic.twitter.com/51mweLN4y8
