Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue on Friday, 1 June, becoming the first Indian prime minister to do so.
Hailing the ‘Act East’ policy in his speech, he said:

PM Modi’s visit to Singapore is the last leg of his three-nation tour. Earlier in the day, he had met with his Singaporean counterpart, Lee Hsien Loong, and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties.
