Baba Radev’s Patanjali Ayurveda has also ventured into restaurant business. The company has opened a pure-vegetarian restaurant in Chandigarh which goes by the name of ‘Postik Restaurant’.
The menu card of the restaurant also has health tips for its customers, The Indian Express reported.
Pantanjali has seen soaring popularity in the country with its ayurvedic products, although occasionally also been in the middle of controversies.
In 2016, Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), a voluntary self-regulatory body of Advertisement Industry found them to have misleading advertisements in 25 instances.
Moreover, an elephant was killed and two injured on the construction site for Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Herbal and Mega Food Park in Assam.
Although Balkrishna owns the company, yoga guru Baba Ramdev is the brand ambassador.
