At least nine people were killed and six injured in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a truck in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal. The incident took place on Kalamb road on the night of Monday, 24 December.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
According to The Times of India, the accident cured at 8:30 pm on 24 December. The SUV was reportedly ferrying people native to Pardi and Charpada villages in Maharashtra, who were returning from an engagement ceremony in Yavatmal’s Umarsara area.
While nine people succumbed on the sport, the injured were rushed to the Government Medical College in Yavatmal, reported the daily.
