Parts of the Indian Coast Guard’s Missing Dornier Aircraft Found

Parts of the Indian Coast Guard’s Dornier aircraft, which went missing last month, was located 950m under the sea-level. The Flight Data Recorder of the missing aircraft was recovered off the coast of Chennai, by the Coast Guard.

The missing aircraft had three crew members on-board and went missing while on a regular sortie.

The Indian Navy and Coast Guard had deployed number of ships, aircrafts and submarines in the search operation for the aircraft.

The aircraft was in touch with airport authorities in Tiruchirappalli and was last tracked about 16 nautical miles off the coast of Chidambaram, somewhere between Cuddalore and Karaikal.

Subhash Suresh, pilot of the aircraft, was survived by a wife and a child.

His wife, Deepa Subhash, had appealed to Prime Minister of India to help in the long standing search operation that has just yield results.
