- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice to the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the allegations made in the suicide notes of BK Bansal and his son.
- NHRC has asked the CBI Director to send a report on the action taken on the allegations within 72 hours.
- The CBI director has also been asked to give the name of the havaldar/ head constable whose name is not mentioned in the suicide notes.
- On Thursday evening, CBI deputed its Joint Director to probe torture allegations after the NHRC’s notice.
