A case has been lodged against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao by Jerusalem Mathaiah, one of the accused in the cash-for-vote case against Chandrababu Naidu, at the Satyanarayanapuram police station in Vijaywada today, police said.

According to Satyanarayanapuram police inspector M Satyanarayana Rao, the case has been registered under Section 506, Section 507, Section 389 and Section 195-A of the IPC.

Mathaiah alleged that followers of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited his house in Hyderabad and threatened him and his family members to give a statement against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the cash-for-vote case.

His complaint alleged that Rao’s followers also took him to some unknown places and assaulted him several times, due to which he came to Vijayawada in order to be safe in his relative’s house.
