A 73-page charge sheet filed by the CBI has revealed that Brajesh Thakur, the prime accused in the Muzaffarpur Shelter Home case, forced the girls to dance to vulgar songs in scanty clothing for his guests, and have sex with them.
The CBI investigation revealed that the girls were drugged and raped by Thakur’s guests.
The shelter home was investigated by the CBI, after news emerged that as many as 34 of the 42 inmates had been sexually assaulted.
The charge sheet, which was filed before a special POCSO court of additional district judge RP Tiwari on 19 December, further stated that the girls who refused to indulge in these activities, were given only roti and salt for dinner, while those who gave in to the order, were given proper food, Hindustan Times reported.
Other than Thakur, 20 other people were named as accused in the charge sheet, and 101 others, including 33 victims, were listed as witnesses, the report further added.
The accused, mentioned in the CBI charge sheet are: Indu Kumari, Minu Kumari, Manju Devi, Chanda Devi, Neha Kumari, Hema Masih, Kiran Kumari, Saista Pervin alias Madhu, Dr Pramila, Kiran Kumari, Ramanuj Thakur alias Mamu, Ramashankar Singh alias Master Saheb, Ravi Kumar Roshan, Vikas Kumar, Dilip Kumar Verma, Vijay Kumar Tiwari, Guddu Kumar Patel alias Gudddu, Krishna Kumar Ram alias Krishna, Rozy Rani, and Dr Ashwini alias Asmani.
The charge sheet, however, makes no mention of the role of officials, who knew about these activities in the shelter home but never took action, the report added.
