Almost a century-old Parsi dairy farm which satiated Mumbaikars’ craving for ghee, butter and mithais might have to shut shop.

The iconic shop which has been loved by the city’s residents for decades was established in 1916, by Nariman Ardeshir.

The Nariman family has decided to sell its 300-acre land at Talasari on National Highway 8. For over a decade and a half now, sales have suffered a major slump.

The 2006 labour strike caused further financial distress  as reported by The Times of India.

Here are some reactions of Mumbai locals on Twitter , with their favourite shop on the verge of closing down.
