Heavy rains have lashed Mumbai slowing down railway and road traffic. The rains even caused a delay in flight traffic to and from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST) which is in charge of public transport in Mumbai has issued a notification with details of the roads which have been flooded and the diversions.
Mumbai was lashed by the first spell of heavy rains this monsoon that marked its most delayed arrival in the city in 45 years, officials told PTI.
Three persons were killed and five injured in rain-related incidents in the city on Friday.
