1. RTI Reveals ‘Disrespect’ of 26/11

A decade after the horrifying 26/11 attacks on Mumbai, a query made under the Right to Information (RTI) Act has revealed alleged ‘negligence and an insensitive attitude’ towards its martyrs on part of a city corporator.

A Pune-based organisation has accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shrinath Bhimale of seeking popularity from the fact that his birthday coincides with the day of the terrorist event.

2. Kol-Mumbai Jet Airways Flight Delayed Due to Terror Scare

A youth travelling in a Jet Airways flight from Kolkata to Mumbai was arrested by CISF from the aircraft at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport on Monday morning for covering his face with a white handkerchief and posting messages on social media, which caused a terror scare on the 10th anniversary of 26/11.

3. Modi Should Stop Political Nautanki: Shiv Sena

The Shiv Sena on Monday, 26 November, charged that "lack of political will" was delaying construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should stop doing "political nautanki" (drama) over the issue while keeping a gun on shoulders of the Congress.

Taking potshots at Modi for his "56-inch chest" remark made during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, it said the Congress did not have the courage to build the Ram Temple, so it was thrown out of power, and a man with a "56-inch chest" was given the keys to the administration.

4. US Announces $5 Million Reward for Information on 26/11 Perpetrators

The United States on Monday, 26 November, announced a $5 million reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction in any country of any individual who committed, conspired, aided or abetted the 2008 Mumbai attack.

The Trump administration announced this major reward (of more than Rs 35 crore) on the 10th anniversary of the terror attack in which 10 Pakistan-based LeT terrorists went on a shooting rampage in India's financial hub, killing 166 people, including six Americans.

5. Woman Saves Life Of Her Lover After He Jumps From High-Rise In Vasai

IT took all of her strength to hold on to her lover's hand for 15 long minutes, as he dangled from the terrace of a 14-storey building after having jumped to kill himself.

The dramatic incident happened in Naigaon, Vasai East, on Thursday, 22 November, after a fight between the couple. The two, both of whom are married and have children, have left their families and have been living together for the past few months.

6. Over 49,000 Fire Cases in Mumbai in a Decade, 609 Killed: Govt

There have been over 49,000 incidents of fire in Mumbai in the last one decade, killing more than 600 people, the Maharashtra government said on Monday, 26 November.

Minister of State for Urban Development Ranjit Patil said in the state Assembly that a total of 49,391 fire mishaps were reported in the megapolis between 2008 and 2018.

7. Neighbour Killed After Trying to Resolve Son's Argument with His Mother

An 18-year-old man was arrested here in Maharashtra for allegedly killing his neighbour who tried resolve an argument between the accused and his mother, police said Monday. The accused, Nadeem Kadar Shaikh, had a tiff with his mother over a domestic issue on Sunday, 25 November, evening at their house in Mumbra township, Thane police spokesperson Sukhada Narkar said.
