Lal Singh Arya, the Minister of general administration in Madhya Pradesh, who is has been accused in the murder of a Congress MLA in 2009, is still reportedly absconding, says Asian Age.

The report adds that despite the attempts of a three-member police team from Bhind, who visited Arya’s official residence as well as his official chamber in the state secretariat, he could not be traced.

The search for Arya began after a special CBI court issued an arrest warrant against him for the murder of Makhanlal Jatav, adds Times of India.

The police team reportedly visited the minister's official residence in B-20, Char Imli in Bhopal, another residence in Gwalior town as well as his native place in Goha, reports Times of India.

The security personnel deployed at the minister’s bungalow here told us that Mr Arya has not visited his official residence since December 4. We have searched his entire bungalow but could not find him.

Arya reportedly visited the Mantralaya recently and had been rumoured to have met the Chief Minister of MP and the state BJP President as well, says Times of India. The Congress, in turn, has lashed out against the state authorities for their negligence and non-compliance in the issue, the report adds.

This is shameful for the chief minister that police are raiding the minister’s bungalow with an arrest warrant and he is absconding. This is first time in the history of the state when such an incident is happening.
Leader of Opposition (LOP) Ajay Singh said, as reported by Times of India

The State BJP President, meanwhile, has openly stated that he supports Lal Singh Arya and that he does not need to be concerned about his resignation from the official post, considering that he hasn't yet been proven guilty, reports Times of India. Additionally, he also said that a warrant for Arya’s arrest is “immaterial”, considering that “there is no provision for anticipatory bail”, the report adds.
