Prime Minister Modi’s government finished three years in power on Friday. PM Modi inaugurated India’s longest bridge connecting Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. A new All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ foundation stone was laid in Assam.
The MODI (Making of Developed India) fest will be held across the country in 900 cities till 15 June.
Congress released a 7-point chargesheet against the BJP, comparing their stance before it came to power and after three years of being in the Centre.
PM Modi Addresses Rally in Guwahati
On reaching the three-year mark of his term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally at Guwahati, where he also laid the foundation stone of a new AIIMS.
He inaugurated the Dhola-Sadiya bridge, which is around 9.15 km-long on Friday which he said, is dedicated to Bhupen Hazarika.
In the last three years, we have given foremost priority to trusting the citizens.
The PM expressed his gratitude to the people at the rally.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of country, that they let us form a government and gave me an opportunity as a ‘pradhan sevak’.
Amit Shah on 3 Years of Modi Government
BJP President Amit Shah spoke on the occasion of the Modi government entering its fourth year of politics.
Shah spoke of the demonetisation drive, saying that it helped BJP tighten their hold on black money holders. He also spoke of the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in leading the surgical strikes against Pakistan after the Uri attack.
Indian Army displayed its valour by surgical strikes, and PM Modi showed political will.
Time to Move on to Evergreen Revolution: PM
Participating in the foundation laying ceremony for the Indian Agriculture Research Institute in Gogamukh, PM Modi elaborated on turning the Northeast (NE) into “new economy, new energy, new empowerment and new engine”.
He also announced the ‘Sampada’ (Scheme for Agro-Marine Produce Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters) scheme for value addition to agriculture. He added that it is time to move on to “evergreen revolution”.
Agro products and processing will be given a boost via ‘Sampada’ scheme.
Listing the initiatives taken up by the BJP government for the agricultural sector, he said that 9,000 soil health card labs have been set up in the country in these three years apart from schemes like Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana etc.
I request farmers to send soil from their lands to these labs for testing so that they can sow crops accordingly and reap benefits...We request the youth to create startups that can help build new machines to assist farmers all across.
He stressed on organic farming for the region, saying the products have a major market all across the world.
