After the gang rape of a minor girl by her own classmate in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam came to light, students from her schools and locals staged a protest on Wednesday, 25 September, demanding justice.
The accused allegedly kept threatening the girl of circulating her pictures and videos on the internet.
On 9 September afternoon, the girl's classmate (one of the accused) called her and said he was coming to her house with his friend. When he arrived, the girl was alone at home and taking that opportunity, the two boys allegedly raped her.
Ten days after the incident, the girl was allegedly threatened again and asked to meet them (the accused) in Ashirwad hotel, where she was raped again.
After being raped multiple times, the girl's health started deteriorating which is when she complained to her parents.
An FIR was registered in the case on Tuesday, 24 September, and the two accused have been arrested under the POCSO Act.
