Late Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was cremated with full state honours at Miramar Beach in Panaji on Monday, 18 March. Thousands of people attended the ceremony to pay their last respects.
Earlier, PM Narendra Modi paid homage to Parrikar. His mortal remains were brought to the BJP office for party workers to pay their respects.
Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Smriti Irani, and Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi also paid tributes to Parrikar.
Parrikar passed away at the age of 63 on Sunday, 17 March, at his private residence in Dona Paula near the state capital after battling a pancreatic ailment since February last year.

Manohar Parrikar Cremated
Late Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was cremated with full state honours at Miramar beach in Panaji in Goa with thousands joining the cortege to bid him a fond farewell.
Earlier, mortal remains of the 63-year-old senior BJP leader were kept in a flower-decked hearse which left the Kala Academy for Miramar beach.
Parrikar's Last Journey Begins
Thousands joined late Goa CM Manohar Parrikar’s last journey. The last rites will be performed at SAG grounds in Campal, reports NDTV. Parrikar would be accorded a state funeral with full military honours, according to the home ministry.
