Man Steals iPhone to Make Better Quality Videos & Post on Tik Tok

Jatin Nagar was working at a call center in Ghaziabad and had no previous criminal records.

A 20- year-old man was arrested by the police on Sunday, 16 June, for stealing an iPhone in East Delhi’s Preet Vihar.

The accused identified as Jatin Nagar, resident of Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh confessed to the crime during interrogation, reported NDTV.

Nagar had stolen the iPhone to make high-quality videos adding that he used to post videos on social media app, Tik Tok, to earn money.

The iPhone was actually being sold to Nagar, by Jatin Chhabra, who had posted an advertisement about the sale on a website. The two had decided to meet at 6 PM, near Preet Vihar and the sale was finalised at Rs 80,000. But Nagar snatched the phone and fled.

Nagar was working at a call centre in Kaushambi in Ghaziabad, police said, adding that he had no previous criminal record.

The snatched mobile phone and one bike have been recovered, they added.
