Rahul Gandhi Addressed The Media
Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed the media with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ahead of the Karnataka polls on 12 May.
Congress attacked the BJP for not defending the rights of the Dalits in the country. Rahul went on to say, “We had said that Dalits are being beaten up and oppressed when Rohith Vemula is killed Modi Ji doesn't say a word. When Dalits are killed & humiliated in other parts of India, Modi Ji doesn't say anything. Congress will defend the rights of Dalits and raise this issue.”
This came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the SC/ST/OBC and Slum Morcha Workers through his app earlier today.
Rahul Gandhi also slammed the BJP for making personal remarks and he went on to say, “I have been travelling around K'taka for few months now, we all stood together and fought campaign on fundamental issues. We've prepared manifesto which is truly voice of the people. Opposition has restricted itself to making personal remarks.”
Responding to PM Modi’s comments on his mother’s Italian origin, Rahul said that is mother was more Indian than many other Indians.

Over Rs 170 Crore Seized Till Now
The IT department and the police on 10 May said that they have seized cash over Rs 80 crore, taking the total seizures to over Rs 170 crore in this election so far, reported ANI.
Reportedly liquor worth over Rs 24 crore was seized by Static Surveillance teams and the Excise department on 10 May.
In addition, gold and silver worth over Rs 44 crore was seized by the IT department, the report added.
