Air India Privatisation Situation Reviewed in GoM Meeting
Civil Aviation ministry, in a group of ministry’s meeting of reviewing situation of privatisation of Air India today, has decided to proceed with the strategic sale.
The move entails divestment of 100 percent of the ground holding services of Air India, which is Air India Air Transport Services Limited.

21 Held in Melee over Malaysian Temple Land Dispute
21 people have been arrested over rioting that broke out amid a dispute over the relocation of an Indian temple outside Kuala Lumpur.
The melee began early on Monday morning when a group of intruders attacked Indian devotees praying at the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in central Selangor state's Subang Jaya township and torched vehicles.
Another group of men retaliated on early Tuesday morning by vandalising the office of property developer MCT Berhad near the temple and also set some vehicles ablaze.
MCT's unit One City Development owns the land on which the temple sits and is embroiled in a legal tussle to relocate the century-old temple to an area nearby.
Government officials and police were quick to dispel rumors on social media that it was a racial conflict.

SC Stays Disqualification of Kerala MLA K M Shaji
The Supreme Court today allowed K M Shaji, Kerala MLA of Indian Union Muslim League who was disqualified by the High Court for making communal remarks during 2016 assembly polls, to take part in the house proceedings without voting rights and salary.
Shaji, who had won the elections from Azhikode Assembly constituency in 2016, was disqualified for six year by the high court on November 9.

AAP Minister Satyendar Jain Acquitted in Case of Rioting
A court today acquitted Delhi's Health Minister Satyendar Jain in an alleged case of rioting in Paschim Vihar area here before the 2013 Delhi assembly election.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal granted the relief to Jain and four AAP volunteers, noting that the witnesses cited by the prosecution failed to identify Jain, his advocate Mohd Irshad said.
Jain was arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly rioting and obstructing public servants from discharging their duty during the protest which was held after a reported rape incident.
