CBI Files Charge Sheet Against Sengar, Others in Unnao Rape Survivor Accident Case
CBI has filed a charge sheet against former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and others in the Unnao rape survivor accident case, PTI reported, quoting officials. According to the report, there is no murder charge against Sengar and his associates in CBI's charge sheet.

Delhi Court Allows Shashi Tharoor to Travel Abroad
A Delhi court on Friday allowed Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, an accused in the case of his wife Sunanda Pushkar's death, to travel abroad for a period of one month.
Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar granted permission to Tharoor to go to Serbia, Kuwait, Australia and Bangladesh from 11 October to 11 November.
The court directed Tharoor to furnish a fixed deposit of Rs 2 lakh, which shall be returned to him once he is back in India.

Fire in Palamau Jail CCTV Control Room
A fire broke out in the video surveillance (CCTV) control room inside Palamau central jail in Jharkhand on Friday, a government officialtold PTI.
The fire brigade personnel put out the fire and there was no harm to anyone in the incident, sub-divisional magistrate Surjit Kumar Singh said.
A probe is on to know how the fire broke out in the jail control room, he added.
Naxal Killed in Encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur
A naxal was killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district on Friday, the police said.
The skirmish took place in a forest near Tekmetla village under Usoor police station limits, a senior police official said.
A joint squad of 229th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force and local police had launched an anti- naxal operation in the interiors of Usoor, about 450 km from state capital Raipur, he said.
When the security forces were cordoning off a forested area, a gun-battle broke out between the two sides on Friday morning. But the rebels soon disappeared into dense forest, the officer said.
