1. Gurugram Man Alleges Getting Beaten Up on Way Home From Mosque
A 25-year-old man who came to Gurgaon from Bihar 20 days ago has alleged he was beaten up by an unknown person while returning home after prayers Saturday night. The man, Mohammad Barkat Aalam, also alleged the accused threw his skull cap.
According to the FIR registered in the matter, the incident took place at 10:15 pm Saturday when Aalam was walking to his rented room in Jacobpura after reading the namaz at the Sadar Bazaar mosque.
“When I reached Shyam Sweets, there were four men on a motorcycle and two on foot. The men on foot beat me and said you cannot wear a cap in this area… They had both consumed alcohol. The four men on the motorcycle did not say anything to me… both men threatened to kill me,” states the FIR based on Aalam’s complaint.

2. Sex Racket Busted in Gurugram, 6 Women Among 24 Arrested
The Gurugram Police on Sunday raided a building in an upscale locality in Gurugram and arrested 24 people, including six women, for their alleged involvement in flesh trade, a police spokesperson said.
Shamsher Singh said the raid was conducted jointly by the Durga Shakti Rapid Action Force of the Haryana Police and a team from the Sector-56 police station on specific information about such activities taking place in the building.
"The information was given by a neighbour. Subsequently, a joint team of Durga Shakti and Sector-56 raided the place and arrested them," Singh, a Gurgaon Police PRO and Crime Branch ACP, said.

3. 4-Year-Old Boy Stripped, Burnt With Hot Khichdi for Asking an Extra Egg
A four-year-old boy who asked for an extra egg for breakfast was allegedly stripped and burnt with hot khichdi in West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Friday.
The incident was reported in Raghunathgunj area of Bengal's Murshidabad district. The boy received severe burns on his legs and hips. He has been admitted to a Jangipur hospital for treatment.
The minor boy was allegedly stripped off his clothes and had steaming Khichdi poured on him by a woman staffer of the centre which is a part of state-funded Integrated Child Development Scheme.

4. Another Held for Murder of 3 Kids in Bulandshahar
Police on Sunday arrested the second accused for the alleged murder of three children of a family in Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh.
Bulandshahar assistant superintendent of police said Imran, alias Goonga, was arrested on Sunday and raids are underway to arrest the third accused, Salman, who is absconding. Bullet-riddled bodies of the three children were recovered from a tube well in village Dhaturi of Salempur area on Saturday. The family of the children had lodged a complaint against Salman Malik, Bilal and Imran alias Goonga in Nagar Kotwali police. During interrogation, Bilal, who was arrested on Saturday, confessed to the crime.

5. Taxi Driver Shot Dead in Delhi
A 28-year-old man was shot dead by three unidentified assailants in Welcome area of north-east Delhi around 4 pm on Sunday, the police said.
According to the police, three men, who came on a scooter, pumped four bullets into the deceased who was later identified as Imran, a taxi driver.
“We are trying to ascertain the cause of the murder. Whether it is a case of gang rivalry or personal enmity can be known only after the investigation is complete,” a senior police officer said.

6. Cop Sent to 4 Years in Jail for Taking Bribe of Rs 1 Lk
A Delhi Police sub-inspector has been given four years rigorous imprisonment for accepting a bribe during investigation into a case of rape last year.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) trapped sub-inspector Deepak Tomar after a man complained to the central investigating agency that he was demanding Rs 4 lakh from him for helping his son get bail who was being probed in a rape case.
Sub-inspector Tomar was attached to the Khajuri Khas police station in north east Delhi. He has been convicted under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

7. Man Kills Wife Following Fight Over Dancing With Another Woman
A 60-year-old man axed his wife to death following a heated argument with her over his dancing with another woman in a marriage party, police said Sunday.
Accused Kashuram had gone to attend a marriage ceremony in his neighbour's family in Panwara police station area in Udaipur on Friday with his wife Bhikali, 50.
During the function, he danced with another woman, upsetting his wife, police said.
As the couple returned home, a heated argument broke out between the two following which the man attacked his wife with an axe in a fit of rage and ended up killing her, the police said.

8. Doctor Kills Self in Mumbai Hospital Over Alleged Casteist Remarks
The mother of a 23-year-old doctor who killed herself at a state-run hospital in Mumbai has alleged that her seniors used to persistently harass her with casteist remarks. Payal Salman Tadvi, a resident doctor who was pursuing gynaecology, was found dead in her room on 22 May at BYL Nair Hospital.
Three doctors who Ms Tadvi had accused of harassing her before she killed herself are on the run. The Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors has cancelled the memberships of the three accused, who have been identified as Hema Ahuja, Bhakti Mehar and Ankita Khandilwal, news agency ANI reported on Sunday.

9. Married Woman, Alleged Lover Found Hanging From Tree in Rajasthan
In a suspected suicide pact, a married woman and her alleged lover were found hanging from a tree in Rajasthan's Pali district on Sunday, police said.
"Primary investigation has revealed that they were in a love relationship and committed suicide in Bori mada village on Saturday night," they said.
Some of the locals spotted the bodies on Sunday morning and informed the police, they added.
"The bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem. The matter is being probed," investigating officer Malla Ram said.
