The death toll in the bridge collapse in Kollam has risen to three, with two bodies being recovered after the rescue operations.
The deceased has been identified by Manorama as Syamala, a woman from Chavara.
An old iron bridge, which was used as a walkway on the compound of Kerala Minerals and Metals Limited (KMML), collapsed in Chavara, near Kollam, on 30 October, injuring at least 57.
The bridge is reported to have collapsed around 10:30 am on Monday morning. According to media reports, about 70 employees of KMML were atop the bridge when it collapsed. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
