The current political crisis in Karnataka doesn't seem to be dying down as the Congress-JD(S) coalition has been on the brink of collapsing for a while now, with the resignation of 16 MLAs.
The floor test fiasco continued for another day as Congress leaders promised the floor test will be conducted by 6 pm on Tuesday, 23 July. However, most of them were not present in the Assembly when the session began at 10 am.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have accused the HD Kumaraswamy-led government of merely trying to buy time. The BJP commands the support of 107 members, including two Independent MLAs.
