The Enforcement Directorate on Friday, 25 October filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Delhi High Court order granting bail to Congress leader DK Shivakumar, arrested in connection with a money-laundering case being probed by the ED.
The Delhi HC on Wednesday had granted bail to the Karnataka Congress leader DK Shivakumar on a personal bond of Rs 25 lakh in connection with a money laundering case. Shivakumar, who was in judicial custody was released from Tihar jail on Wednesday night.

Shivakumar Hospitalised in Bengaluru After Complaint of Chest Pain
Senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar, who returned to Bengaluru on 26 October from Delhi after getting bail in a money laundering case, has been hospitalised after he complained of back and chest pain, party sources said on Saturday, 2 November, PTI reported.
"He had high blood pressure and low sugar. He had also complained of back pain and chest pain following which he was hospitalised on Friday evening at Apollo Hospital in Seshadripuram. He is undergoing treatment," Shivakumar's personal assistant, Thyagaraj told PTI.
On Friday, he had gone to attend a function organised by the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, where he complained of some giddiness following which he was admitted to the hospital.
The Congress leader had taken part in various events ever since his release from a Delhi prison in the money laundering case, which had a negative effect on his health, he added.

Hours after Congress leader DK Shivakumar arrived in Bengaluru to a hero’s welcome, former Karnataka Lokayukta Santosh Hegde said instead of boycotting corrupt people, they are being honoured.
The former Supreme Court Judge also said, “Personality cult of honest people was fine, but if those corrupt are worshipped, then it is wrong,” reported PTI.
Shivakumar was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 3 September in the money laundering case and walked out of the Tihar Jail in New Delhi on Wednesday evening, after the Delhi High Court granted him a bail.

DK Shivakumar Released From Tihar Jail
Congress leader DK Shivakumar was released from Tihar Jail on Wednesday night after the Delhi High Court granted bail in the money laundering case.
Thanking the supporters who had gathered outside the jail premises to welcome him, Shivakumar said, "I have been granted bail with all your good wishes and with all the wishes of my party workers across the country. I want to thank all of you for your support in this hour of crisis."
