Farooq, who hails from Budgam, has been in the news ever since a picture of him tied to the front of an Army jeep and paraded went viral on social media and was decried by human rights activists across the country.
Representatives of Colours TV channel have claimed it is “speculation”, however, they have neither denied nor confirmed Farooq’s claims.
We were pursuing his compensation case when an unknown Big Boss producer approached him on phone. However, Dar is not a celebrity but a victim.Ahsan Untoo, head of the International Forum for Justice told The Hindu
The SHRC recommendation of Rs 10 lakh as a compensation to Farooq for the physical and mental was rejected by the Jammu and Kashmir state government last year in November.
