‘No Words Enough to Condemn IED Terror Attack’: Mehbooba Mufti

The IED blast that took place in Pulwama was followed by gunshots.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday, 14 February, condemned the IED attack in Pulwama’s Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir that claimed the lives of 37 CRPF jawans.

Reacting soon after the attack (when the death toll was reportedly 12), Mufti in a tweet said, “No words are enough to condemn the gruesome terror attack. How many more lives will be snuffed out before this madness ends?”

A dozen CRPF jawans, who were injured in the blast, are undergoing treatment.

Soon after the attack, Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility.

The casualty is likely to rise.
