Ivanka Trump, daughter of and advisor to US President Donald Trump, today pitched for access to capital and equitable laws for women entrepreneurs, saying that closing the gender entrepreneurship gap could grow global GDP by up to 2 percent.
In her keynote address at the 8th annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), she said that despite the soaring rate of female entrepreneurs, women still face steep obstacles to starting, owning, and growing their businesses.
Ivanka is leading a delegation of senior Trump administration officials for the event. The world’s largest gathering of young entrepreneurs is being co-hosted by India and the United States.
