Three suicide bombers opened fire, before blowing themselves up at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

36 people were killed, while 147 were injured in what is suspected to be an attack orchestrated by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

While there have been no reports so far of any Indian nationals among the casualties, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, Vikas Swarup, has tweeted a list of emergency numbers for Indians seeking help in Turkey.

According to an MEA statement, the Indian consulate has been in touch with the Istanbul Governorate and the Turkish Health Ministry hotline desk.

Turkish Air flights to Delhi and Mumbai departed Istanbul last night as scheduled. Operations at the Ataturk Airport at Istanbul have resumed, but long delays are likely, said the statement.
