Indiaspend’s Govindraj Ethiraj on Wednesday, 18 July, became one of the four John P McNulty Prize laureates, an accolade awarded to “extraordinary individuals who have effectively leveraged their expertise and entrepreneurialism to create meaningful change across the world.”

Announced by US-based policy think tank Aspen Institute and McNulty Foundation, the McNulty Prize celebrates the impact of individuals who have used their entrepreneurial spirit and expertise to address tough challenges that plague the world today.

In a statement released by the Aspen Institute, the four winners were lauded for using their talent and platforms to create a world that is healthier, fairer, and more open.

Other laureates were chosen from Rwanda, Australia, and the United States, and praised for their contributions to civic society in their own countries.

The laureates will be honored in a ceremony in the United States on 25 July, and will receive $25,000 to further their venture. One of the four will be chosen as the McNulty prize winner in November this year, and will be awarded $100,000 for his or her venture.
