Speaking from the location of a terrible drought in Maharashtra, Padma Vibhushan Sri Sri Ravi Shankar took the opportunity to refuse a Nobel Prize not offered to him, and simultaneously insulted a teenage girl who was shot in the head by the Taliban.
The Art of Living (AOL) founder was in Maharashtra, erecting a wall of aggrieved farmers and dry earth between him and the National Green Tribunal (NGT), which has charged him with a fine of Rs 5 crore for damaging the Yamuna flood basin.
The multi-millionaire guru had refused to pay the fine, urging investigation officials to instead clear their minds and relax. His organisation did pay Rs 5 lakh of the fine though.
