A Sangam era site is emerging after excavations being conducted by the state Archaeology department in Pallisanthai Thidal in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu, The Times of India reported. What has been found here are brick walls, wells, storages and mud vaults, pottery of various kinds and purposes, shells, glass, beads, rusted old coins, weapons and small tools made of bones and Iron, embedded in layers of soil, The Hindu reported.
