The IIT-Roorkee students who were recently expelled for under-performance by the premier institute, were today allowed to appear in a re-examination, following a court order.
The expelled students who turned up at the institute to appear in the re-examination were allowed to take the test.

However, Agarwal could not specify the number of such students.
In a reprieve to the students, Uttarakhand High Court had allowed them to appear in a re-examination scheduled to be held at the institute from today, if they wanted, and also directed the administration of the institute to file a counter-affidavit on a petition challenging its decision to expel them.
