For the past 800 years, the Nizamis, who are descendants of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, have been taking care of his dargah in Delhi’s bustling area named after the saint itself.
We meet the current three generations of the family. Syed Daniyal Nizami’s sole aim in life has been the upkeep of the dargah and furthering the teachings of Hazrat Nizamuddin as a Muallim. During his time there, he has connected with former Prime Ministers such as Indira Gandhi and Rajeev Gandhi, and even international monarchs like the King of Saudi Arabia and the King of Iran.
His son Syed Rumman Nizami, on the other hand, is a Judas Priest and Guns n’ Roses loving sufi who tried his hand at the corporate world for a decade before he came back to do what his forefathers had always done.
Rumman’s son Syed Riaan Nizami too has different plans. Instead of living in and for the dargah, he wants to be Tiger Shroff.
