A 48-year-old man from Tumakuru reportedly sent an eerie warning to a Bescom employee, asking him to stay away from the sender’s wife – he packed snakes in a box and couriered it to him.
Bangalore Mirror reported that the employee and other staffers were frightened after opening the package from which snakes crawled out. Letters in the package said that if the employee did not stay away from the sender’s wife, he would be in for more dangerous surprises.
The package was delivered to the Bescom vigilance office near Shivananda Circle, on Tuesday
The police said, when the employee (identity withheld) opened the package, two cobras crawled out, frightening him and other staffers as well, following which they threw the box out of the office.
The employee has lodged a complaint with the High Grounds police station. They registered a case of criminal intimidation.
The employee has provided some leads which we are following. We are in touch with the courier company that delivered the parcel. We will make an arrest in the case soon.
