Holi, the festival of colours, celebrates the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter and a day for Indians to let loose, in a rather colourful manner.

Holi, now celebrated around the world, allows Indians to party hard and indulge in festivities, which range from having the traditional deep fried sweet, Ghujia, or the well-known cannabis drink, Bhaang.

This year, the festival began on 20 March with the Holika Dahan ceremony and will end on 21 March, after the main festival celebrations.

Let’s get the mood colourful with pictures of Holi celebrations from across the country.
