Just days after Varnika Kundu from Chandigarh outed Vikas Barala, son of a BJP Minister in Chandigarh for stalking and terrorising her, a new incident, this time in Gurugram, has come to the fore. A resident of Gurugram’s Rajeev Nagar, the woman works at an MNC and was returning home at midnight on Monday on her scooty.
According to her complaint, two men in a car chased her for almost 4 km and tried to obstruct her path before she finally managed to lose them around the city’s Atul Kataria Chowk. The woman has refused to speak to the media and her parents say she is extremely traumatised.
She has also said in her complaint that the there were no police postings in the entire stretch of the road while she was being chased. She also allegedly tried to call the 100 helpline, but got no response.
“We have registered a case under Section 354D against the two accused and are looking for CCTV footage from the area to identify and nab them”, said Ravinder Kumar, PRO, Gurgaon Police.
