Just when you thought a decision was made in the Salman Khan hit-and-run case, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the state government is still studying the High Court’s verdict of acquitting Salman of all charges, to decide whether or not to challenge the decision.
The prosecution is said to have recommended an appeal to be filed in the Supreme court. This comes after the Bombay High Court declared the prosecution of failing to prove that Khan was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Sources in the prosecutor’s office said, its recommendation to challenge the acquittal order with the opinion that the case was fit for appeal was sent last week to the Maharashtra Home Department.
