EC Giving Yet Another Clean Chit to PM Modi is Kaafi Real

EC on Tuesday disposed of yet another poll code violation complaint filed against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday, 7 May, gave yet another clean chit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a poll code violation case, this time over his remarks slamming former PM Rajiv Gandhi.

This follows suit in what is emerging as a pattern this election season, of the EC failing to clamp down on cases of – what appear to be – flagrant violations of the Model Code of Conduct by politicians cutting across party lines.
