26-Yr-Old Radiologist Murdered at St Stephen’s Hospital in Delhi

Police suspect one of Shashwant Pandey’s colleague is responsible for the murder

A third-year radiology student at the St Stephens Hospital, Delhi, was found dead on 25 August.

Shashwant Pandey, 26, was interning at the hospital. His body was found by an attendant in the rest room of the hospital in a pool of blood.

His throat was found slit with a surgical blade. As per preliminary investigation, the suspect appears to be a fellow doctor and an acquaintance of the deceased.

Colleagues under Radar

The police suspect that one of Pandey’s colleague is responsible for the murder, and are examining the role of other resident doctors.

A team of police has been sent to search for the perpetrators.

Pandey’s body was shifted to the morgue. Post the incident, more than 50 doctors protested the lack of security in the premises, demanding that the culprit be booked within 24 hours.
