A mundane Tuesday morning turned fatal for Rafiquddin, when he was struck to death by 11 men with swords, 27 times. Rafiquddin, a local goon in Maharashtra's Dhule, was sipping on his morning tea at a roadside tea stall, when a group of men barged in and hacked him to death.
The gruesome event was caught on a CCTV camera, which later went viral online. In the video, a group of men are seen slashing swords into Faraquddin long after he was dead. He was also earlier shot in the head.
The men are seen dragging Faraquddin from the stall, and then stabbing him to death in broad daylight, as the blood from his body runs into streams mixing with the rainwater pooling on the streets. One man in particular is seen continuously hacking the body, till a gang-mate drags him away.
Based on the video and eyewitness accounts, the local police have filed an FIR and are on the look-out for the perpetrators, reported NDTV. Some of the attackers have been identified as members of a rival gang.
Rafaquddin was reportedly out on bail and had over 30 cases of rape, murder and blackmail to his credit.
