Murray Denis Ward, a 54-year-old British national, was arrested in September on charges of inappropriately touching minor inmates of the National Association for the Blind in South Delhi’s RK Puram.
According to ANI, a suspect with a profile similar to Ward’s was accused of child abuse four years ago in the United Kingdom. The Interpol suspect he was Ward, and have sought details for clarity.
At the National Association for the Blind, Ward had allegedly sexually assaulted three visually-impaired minors. He also used to have conversations with “sexual undertones” with over 25 other children of the same organisation.
Ward had reportedly told the police that he was educating minors about sexual intercourse.
The Delhi Police has submitted details of the case to Interpol’s nodal office in India.
