Delhi Blessed With Light Rain & People Couldn’t Be Happier

After experiencing scorching heat and widespread air pollution, Delhi experienced a turn for the better with rains gracing it. On Wednesday, 15 May, light showers brought down the soaring temperatures.

The Indian Meteorological Department had predicted that Delhi would experience rain on Monday. This was accompanied by dust storms.

Meanwhile, for Wednesday, it had predicted that Delhi would have a thunderstorm with rain.

The IMD also forecast that the maximum temperature would rise to 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature would be 21 degrees Celsius. This was a much needed respite.

With temperatures skyrocketing to 42-43 degrees Celsius, the Delhi heat was becoming intolerable to say the least.

Delhiites Loving the Unusual Summer Surprise

Known for its extremely hot summers, Delhi sure was taken by a surprise with the rains.

Many users on Twitter posted videos and photos of the rain.

Another user tweeted an image of a garden with a backdrop of the dark clouds that preceded the rains.
