Delhi is one of the most polluted cities in the world and its air quality is a topic of major concern. One of the major reasons of such high pollution levels is vehicular emissions. As a result, the government too had implemented the odd-even scheme to limit the number of cars on Delhi’s roads.
Now given that pollution affects each and every citizen, it’s essential that everyone should do their bit.
One way you can make a significant difference is by switching to public transport such as metro, buses or Ubers, given that they run on CNG.
That’s what Uber’s campaign #LeaveYourCarBehind is all about. Before we tell you more, watch this video.
Uber India conveyed this message to people in a rather innovative way. They got together with Delhi Street Art and Chakr Innovation to paint walls using ink made of fuel emissions. You can spot this unique art at Lodhi Colony near India Habitat Center.
The objective was to draw people’s attention to how they could effectively contribute in the fight against pollution. Sustainable mobility is the way ahead.
Using public transport will go a long way in bringing down pollution levels and improving air quality.
So Delhi, #LeaveYourCarBehind for a better future.
