India recorded the highest one-day spike with 7,466 new COVID-19 cases on Friday taking the case tally to 1,65,799, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. While active cases are at 89,987, as many as 71,105 people have recovered or cured. The death toll is at 4,706.
West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday, said that all places of worship will open from 1 June, but not more than 10 people will be allowed, including no assembly at religious places.

Madhya Pradesh Records 192 Cases; Tally at 7,645
“Madhya Pradesh reported 192 new COVID-19 cases, including 84 in worst-hit Indore district; total tally in state now 7,645,” PTI reported quoting health officials.
100 New Cases in Telangana
Telangana reported 100 new COVID-19 positive cases today, taking the total number of cases in the state to 2,008, the State Health Department stated.
Gujarat Reports 372 Patients, Tally at 15,944
“With 372 new patients, coronavirus case tally in Gujarat rises to 15,944, twenty people succumb to pandemic taking death toll to 980,” PTI reports health official.
