A day after police officer Subodh Kumar Singh and a civilian, Sumit, were killed in violence over alleged illegal cow slaughter, Subodh’s sister questioned Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the incident and demanded martyr status for her brother.
She also said that his brother was killed in a conspiracy only because he was investigating Akhlaq case.
While speaking to the media, the angry sister of deceased police officer Subodh Kumar said, “My brother was investigating Akhlaq case and that is why he was killed, it's a conspiracy by police. He should be declared a martyr and a memorial should be built.”
The police officer’s sister said that they demand a martyr status for his brother as he gave his life over cow protection. She also lashed out at CM Yogi for just focusing on “cow protection.”
‘Mukhyamanti jee gau gau gau bulate phirte hain, khud aake gau raksha kyun nahi karte?’ (CM keeps talking about cow protection, why does not he himself do that?)Subodh’s sister to media
Subodh’s wife told ANI that this was not the first time he was shot, he had suffered bullet injuries twice before and that he worked with utter honesty.
“He worked with utter honesty and took all the responsibility on himself. This is not the first incident, he had bullet injury twice before. But now nobody is giving him justice. Justice will be done only if his killers are killed.”Subodh Kumar Singh’s wife to ANI
