Rajeev Ranjan, the Superintendent of Police of the Kishanganj region in Bihar, has ordered the arrest of AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi over his controversial remarks during a campaign rally for the Bihar elections.
There are police provisions for the arrest. We will proceed accordingly.

On Monday, Ranjan had registered an FIR against Akbaruddin’s brother and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for his remarks against PM Modi at the Krishnagunj rally.
An FIR has been registered. We will have to deal with it legally. Our legal team will decide the course of action.

Akbaruddin Owaisi’s brother and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had announced on September 12 the decision to contest the Bihar elections.
In Seemanchal, with a sizeable population of Muslims, AIMIM had decided to contest all the 24 seats in the four district of the region.
But Asaduddin Owaisi announced on Monday that the party will only contest for six seats.
