It is not every day that you get tracked down to be gifted a Mahindra Supro Mini Truck, by the chairman of the Mahindra group himself. But that is exactly what happened to Sunil from Kerala, who had modeled his auto rickshaw to resemble the SUV.
Sunil’s indigenous idea was picked up by Twitter user Anil Panicker, who immediately tweeted out a picture of the auto plying on the streets, to Anand Mahindra, the Executive Chairman of the Mahindra Group.
Mahindra’s reply was prompt. Expressing his desire to buy the auto for the company-run museum, he said he’d gift Sunil a four-wheeler in return.
On Wednesday, Mahindra tweeted out a follow-up, stating that his team had managed to track Sunil.
Thanking the Twitterati for their help and tweeted out a picture of Sunil, now a proud owner of a four-wheeler.
