The 156 beagles which were rescued in February from a testing laboratory in Bangalore are finally up for adoption.
Fortunately, these dogs hadn’t been tested upon.
The release and rehabilitation of these sterilised and vaccinated dogs is being done by Compassion Unlimited Plus Action (CUPA). The organisation has released an adoption form online for those who wish to provide a home for these beagles.
These dogs are phenomenal no matter what traumatic background they come from, they have the ability to bring joy in people’s lives. All of them are babies and we are going to find them homes.Volunteer, CUPA
Beagles are chosen for laboratory tests since they are considered the ideal breed for research.
International standardisation names the beagle as the dog breed meant for research. They have strong immunity, good disposition and are easy to handle. Also, drugs are given on a per kilo basis; the beagle is a mid-sized dog and is cost effective.Consultant Veterinarian, Pharmaceutical Company, Gujarat
