The Central Bureau of Investigation, on Friday, appealed to the Delhi High Court against former IAF chief Tyagi being granted bail.
Taking cognisance of the matter, the HC has scheduled a hearing on 3 January 2017.
Tyagi was arrested, along with two other accused, on 9 December in the AgustaWestland chopper scam bribery case. He was granted bail on Monday by the Patiala House Court.
Special CBI Judge Arvind Kumar granted relief to 70-year-old Tyagi on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh and a surety of a similar amount.
The Patiala House Court has also extended the judicial custody of the other two accused – SP Tyagi's cousin Sanjeev Tyagi alias Julie and lawyer Gautam Khaitan – for 14 days.
