Agni-V Successfully Test-Fired Off Odisha Coast: Defence Minister

India test fired the Agni-V, a surface-to-air missile, off the coast of Odisha from Abdul Kalam Island on 18 January. According to reports, the missile has a range of 5,000 km.

The Agni-V is India’s most potent, nuclear capable inter-continental ballistic missile which was successfully tested in 2016.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman confirmed the missile firing.

We have successfully launched the nuclear capable ballistic missile Agni-V today.
