It is quite possible that in the last few days you would have come across the news of impending wedding of Rahul Gandhi with Congress MLA Aditi Singh. However, it has now been proven to be fake as Aditi Singh took to Twitter to express her annoyance over the rumours.

Rumour mills went into a tizzy as photos of Singh and the Congress president along with their families and the caption that Rahul had found his match went viral on social media. The posts also claimed that former president of the Congress party, Sonia Gandhi, had blessed the union between the two.

Calling the rumours baseless, she further clarified that the news was indeed untrue and an attempt to create unnecessary distraction ahead of the Karnataka polls. She said she is ‘saddened’ by these rumors as Rahul Gandhi is her ‘rakhi brother’.

Talk of my marriage with Rahul Gandhi is a propaganda in the wake of the Karnataka elections. The intention appears to be to distract the Congress leadership and workers toiling in Karnataka. It is anyone’s guess who could be behind it.
MLA Aditi Singh to the Times of India

Aditi Singh joined the Congress party in 2017 as she contested the UP elections from the Rai Bareli Sadar seat. She is the daughter of MLA Akhilesh Singh who has been a veteran member of the Congress party having served five terms.
